Sky Ride was a Ropeway system previously produced by UK manufacturer Bennett. The design of the systems was closely based on Sky Rides produced by US manufacturer Universal Design. Alan Hawes (who set-up Universal Design in the USA) went over to the UK and worked closely with the Bennett company for a few years during the 1970s. All three units of the ride that were produced are no longer in operation.
