Hi all! I'm curious as to if the fact Flug von Novrogord has a rolling start has been taken into account here? The page even lists it as starting at 0mph, along with all others https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4cJKBrn8sYg

Fastest Launch Acceleration

I urge everyone arguing about Stealth vs Maxx Force to read this Reddit Post that goes into further detail comparing them: https://www.reddit.com/r/rollercoasters/comments/1bfqfhe/maxx_force_vs_stealth_my_analysis/. It is a really thorough post and shows that Maxx Force is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, the coaster with the fastest launch acceleration. Reddit is not a reliable source, and we rely on reliable sources to backup stats on here. Until we can establish a reliable source that isn’t just some random person trying to calculate it off a video, the best info we have to go off is the parks own stats. I’m also locking the pages as trying to keep up with this is becoming a challenge when we have an entire site to moderate. Please continue the discussion on here and once a consensus has been reached then we can update the page accordingly. Alex (talk) 10:53, 17 March 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
I think the post does make a good point about acceleration rates potentially differing from what is advertised. The point about Top Thrill Dragster allegedly hitting 80 mph in 1.8s is interesting as this would put it at the top of the list. The figures in this list assume a uniform acceleration but in practise this won't be the case. While Do-Dodonpa was very likely the fastest accelerating coaster, with that gone I don't think we have enough data to rank these. I think it may be best to remove this page or replace the table with an unordered list of coasters that accelerate particularly fast based on the data we have.
