A template is a page created to be included in other pages. At the most basic level, templates are common boxes displayed on multiple articles. They are stored in the Template namespace.
Usage
Documentation explaining how to use a specific template should be available on its description page (Template:Template name).
Common types of template
General
- Infobox - Displayed on the right-hand side of the screen, or above the article on mobile devices. Contains organised information on the article subject and may automatically place the article in categories based on its parameters.
- Navbox - Displayed below the article. Contains links to related pages, such as roller coasters in the same amusement park.
