Parkitect is a theme park simulation video game available on Windows, macOS and Linux. Development began in 2014 after a successful Kickstarter campaign to fund the game. At present, the game is purely a sandbox however it is likely that scenarios will be added in the future.
Gameplay
The player can build roller coasters, flat rides and scenery items. It is played from an isometric viewpoint. The game's graphic interface very closely resembles that of the first two RollerCoaster Tycoon games.
Roller coasters
Many of the rides in Parkitect are inspired by those in the real world. Roller coasters that make an appearance include:
- Bolliger & Mabillard's Wing Coaster and Inverted Coaster
- Guerstlauer's Euro-Fighter
- Arrow's Suspended Coaster
- Intamin's Giga Coaster and Accelerator Coaster
- Mack Ride's bobsled roller coaster
- E&F Miler Industries' family roller coaster
