Pinfari (F.lli Pinfari, Fratelli Pinfari) was a roller coaster manufacturer based in Italy. This ride manufacturer was especially known for making very compact models with small footprints, such as the popular ZL42.
History
Pinfari started its life in the amusement industry in the 1920's, maintaining Dodgems for fairgrounds. Their first roller coaster type, the steel Zyklon, was developed in the 1960s. Pinfari coasters are very simple in design. The track consists of two rails with bars in-between, similar to a ladder.
Over 150 roller coasters were designed by Pinfari, many of which are standard designs which can be assembled and dismantled quickly.
In 2007, the assets of Pinfari were acquired by Interpark.[1]
