Pirates of Lake Shafer is a Ranger built by German manufacturer Weber currently under construction at Indiana Beach in Monticello, Indiana, USA. It is scheduled to open in summer 2025.

History

The ride was built in 1984 for German showman Meyer who travelled it on the German fair circuit as Traum Boot until 1985.

It was then sold to Juegos Mecánicos de Chapultepec in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico when it reopened in 1986 as Nao De China. It operated there until it closed with the park on September 28, 2019.

Nao De China was then one of many rides from the park that were bought by IB Parks & Entertainment in November 2020. It was subsequently dismantled and sent to Indiana Beach in Monticello, Indiana, United States. It was stored at the park since November 2021.[1] In November 2023, the ride started to be constructed in the area next to Steel Hawg and All American Triple Loop.[2] By February 2024, the ride had been completely set up,[3] but had not yet opened.

On February 26, 2025, Indiana Beach announced that the ride would reopen as Pirates of Lake Shafer in summer 2025.[4][5]
