Storm Chaser is a steel spinning roller coaster located at Paultons Park in Romsey, Hampshire, England, UK. The ride was manufactured by Mack Rides and opened in 2021.
History
On 4 July 2019, the ride was confirmed to be a Mack Rides spinning roller coaster and a clone of Sierra Sidewinder at Knott's Berry Farm.[1] Originally expected to open on 19 May 2020, the opening was pushed back to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic and the associated difficulties in constructing the Tornado Springs themed area.[2]
The ride was then rescheduled to open on 19 March 2021.[3] However, the third UK lockdown delayed the opening once again to 12 April 2021, as this was the earliest date that the park was allowed to reopen under Boris Johnson's lockdown easing roadmap. Paultons later confirmed that Storm Chaser and Tornado Springs would be open when the park reopened, and as expected, the ride finally opened on 12 April 2021.[4]
