Born Slippy was a six-lane Giant Slide slide at Dreamland Margate. It was part of the park’s line-up since the park’s reopening in June 2015. It was refurbished by Amusement Technical prior to opening at the park.
History
The ride’s original location was at Paultons Park in Hampshire, opening in 1989.[1] The ride was built by Harry Steer Engineering, who had carried on production of the Giant Slide from defunct fellow Nottinghamshire company Bennett during the 1980s. The ride had the generic name of “Astroglide” during its stay at Paultons Park, and was removed at the end of the 2014 season to make way for the construction of the new “Lost Kingdom” area.
