About two of the rides
@Lachlan, I have some more things to ask you about the rides, and this time it's in regards to the Dark Ride Database.
They list down House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn - The Attraction and Pirate's Plunder on the site as "Interactive Theater"s, but personally would you see them more as modified arcade shooter games like before? The former is just a variant of the arcade game but in a large room, similar to that of other Sega shooters that have been in Tokyo Joypolis before, like "The House of the Dead 4 Special". (Pirate's Plunder is however an original attraction)
Links are below, these come from Tokyo Joypolis' official channel. They have video clips of the other rides, too.

- Pirate's Plunder - (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nt20Ax4f6TY)

- The first one (HOTD Scarlet Dawn) is approaching ride territory for me, given we count other simulator type attractions. The second one feels more arcade game. Though tagging @QDude24 as our dark ride expert. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 20:45, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- Speaking from the DRDB point of view; the first one (HOTD) doesn't count as a ride as all vehicles are not only sperate units, but also just located in this big hall, which makes them just fancy arcade machines imo.
- The second one would be counted on DRDB. They are smaller simulator vehicles that all face a single screen. See for instance Coelhada Nas Estrelas for something similair (but on a bigger scale) QDude24 (talk) 21:03, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- I had them the wrong way around - so you can swap what I said in my previous answer Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 21:11, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- Alright, so Pirate's Plunder is fine to add onto the site, then.
- As for the other current attractions, would you like me to do a list of all of them and then you can point out what can be added and what can't? LTPHarry (talk) 01:08, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
- It could be handy given most of the Sega attractions are the same/similar across their parks. There's a list at Sega, so the talk page of that article may be the best place for a list of attractions that we are excluding Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 06:50, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
- Okay. Here I go:
- Floor 1
- Gekion Live Coaster (Spinning Coaster)
- halfpipe Tokyo (Pendulum ride)
- Pirate's Plunder (shooting attraction with moving seats, similar to a 4D cinema)
- The Joypolis Explorer (Walkthrough attraction)
- Spicy Taxi (A arcade game/ride hybrid similar to the previous racing game attractions on site. I doubt this will be allowed)
- Floor 2
- Tower Tag (A tradional VR arena part of a chain, I know this doesn’t classify on the site in any form)
- House of the Dead: Scarlet Dawn - The Attraction (well, as you say, it’s just a larger version of the arcade game and so doesn’t classify)
- Sonic Athletics (An arcade game powered using a treadmill, I know this isn’t allowed.)
- Transformers Human Alliance Special (Variant of the arcade game with a 360 degree cabinet. In my views I know this wouldn’t apply because it’s more or less like a deluxe carabiner)
- Storm-G (An arcade game with a rotating ride car, since it’s predecessors and alternate rides aren’t allowed then this isn’t)
- Floor 3:
- Ace Attorney in Joypolis (Lacks any signs of being a attraction to be added to the wiki, even for a walk-through that you just sit down on)
- Fortune Forest (Walk-Through)
- Lola and Carla the Beauty Contest (Lacks any signs of being a ride added to a wiki as it’s just a creativity studio)
- Attack on Titan - The Attraction (Could apply as it seems similar to the other pop-up walk through attractions)
- Mystic Mansion - A 4D attraction with a moving seat
- Murder Lodge - 3D Sound House walk-through that’s already on the wiki
- Wild Wing - Already preparing for a page
- Wild Jungle Brothers - Already preparing for a page
- Wild River - The Treasure Hunt - Already preparing for a page
- Sadako - A horror house walk-through. Could apply with the other horror attractions that had been in the park over the years.
- Once again, Tokyo Joypolis' website has better information on the attractions and their YouTube channel has video clips of them. LTPHarry (talk) 11:02, 19 June 2024 (UTC)
- Ah, this is the present rides. One which I don't think should count is Aquarena, it looks like a room with big screens with fish on them. You could consider it a Walk-Through, but there doesn't appear to be any physical moving parts here. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 10:16, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry for not responding earlier, but I think for now we could maybe leave it as is, and decide later if it's worth keeping or not. As for the other current attractions, I'll only add the ones that correspond as actual attractions. LTPHarry (talk) 13:22, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
