Recent upload
Hello,
Sorry, we can't host images from Facebook from here, even if they're from an official park page. The exceptions to this are if you took the picture yourself, or if it says in the post that it's free to use or licensed under a Creative Commons license. Unless you took File:Avonturenrad - Hellendoorn.jpg yourself I will have to delete it. Let me know if you have any questions!
Best wishes Lachlan (Talk | contribs) (an admin) 15:44, 31 March 2020 (UTC)
Kentucky Kingdom 2009 closing date
I can't find a closing date for Kentucky Kingdom on the newspaper archive, which is surprising. I thought I would be able to find dates for the whole season. I don't think it's that important though. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 21:36, 5 September 2021 (UTC)

- Hi! You have already done quite some research, great to see!
- Say, where do you want me to assist with? You mention owner, location and country, what do you want me to do for these? QDude24 (talk) 07:53, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
- 1 {{td|}} is not displaying correctly
- 2 In the "Location" column, I'm not sure, most likely Traveling everywhere except Tarantula Fantasy World.
- 3 Tarantula Fantasy World It is possible that this ride used to be in another place.
- 4 High Energy This is a new ride I have no information about it Am80567126 (talk) 15:49, 27 September 2022 (UTC)
- Hello @Am80567126 I will try my best to answer since QDude didn't get the chance to yet.
- On your first point, {{td}} only works in the first line of a table cell, because it is a shorthand for the "data sort value" and the date combined. Since for relocated coasters the data sort value and the actual date are different, {{td}} can't be used. I think the best way to see this is to look at the source code for Eclipse (Fabbri product) as I have now fixed it up.
- We tend to just put the country for location now, to make it easier to read and edit big tables. So as you can see, I've just put country names for them all. We know that the ride is travelling because the "park" is a person's name and isn't wikilinked.
- For Tarantula, that's okay, we can always add in more details when we know them. If we know for sure that it operated somewhere else but don't know where, we can add a row underneath and put "unknown" for the details we don't know.
- For High Energy, rather than have a table row with just a ride name, it would be better to leave that off for just now and to share your thoughts on the talk page. Once we have a bit more info, we can create a row for it.
- Hope this helps! Let me know how you get on Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 09:33, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
Space Roller
I actually saw something about Space Rollershowing up in Ibiza on Facebook recently, but I don't have a source to hand at the moment Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 08:51, 7 December 2023 (UTC)
"Junior" addition
What is the criteria for the additon of "Junior" in the ride type? Amusement Devices & Manufacturing lists this as a pirate ship ride made for children & adults due to its variable ride cycle, also, the "Junior Teacups" type redirects to just "Teacups", but "Junior Pirate Ship" does not redirect to "Pirate Ship", im not entirely sure what the standard is here. CoasterDave (talk) 01:12, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- (this is in repsonse to your edit on Pirate's Revenge (Southern Hill Farms) CoasterDave (talk) 01:12, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
- A "junior" version is basically a smaller scale version of the larger ride. They don't have their own page since they are the same type but smaller. Check the junior categories for more information. QDude24 (talk) 09:31, 24 December 2023 (UTC)
Boots' Banana Swing (Mall of America) Opening Date
Hey, QDude24!
I appreciate you making the necessary changes to the Boots' Banana Swing (Nickelodeon Universe Mall of America) page! However, I am wondering where you got the information that the ride opened. It certainly makes sense but I couldn't find any information to back it up. Not even the official website has been updated. Could you maybe provide a link to where you found the information? SFGAM-Enthusiast (talk) 05:49, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
- I just saw that you put it as opening in winter 2023. Winter 2023 has already passed, so I just put in in standard operating. I should have checked it further. QDude24 (talk) 09:52, 2 January 2024 (UTC)
Flying school legoland florida
ok so i am TIRED of changing this. flying school has closed. legoland had confirmed this and please dont change it. if you want proof, click this link
https://florida-support.legoland.com/hc/en-us/articles/12985518782493-Flying-School Pancake (talk) 00:37, 9 February 2024 (UTC) Hey, so I saw the edit history on Flying School. SBNO (Standing But Not Operating) means it is closed, but it might reopen; its future is unknown. Defunct means that it is closed for good, which appears to be the case for this one. Hope this helps! MontagnaMagica (talk) 03:34, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
- @MontagnaMagica That is not what SBNO means. It means that a ride or coaster is closed but physical still at the park. Nome of the links @Pancake has shared mention deconstruction. As long as its still standing on property without operation, its SBNO. It is defunct once it has been deconstructed or removed. QDude24 (talk) 04:10, 9 February 2024 (UTC)
- @Pancake, @QDude24, @MontagnaMagica So we would normally change something to "defunct" as soon as it closes, even if it hasn't been demolished yet. On the other hand, Six Flags New Orleans is not going to reopen and yet we list it as standing but not operating.
- We've read the definitions on the status pages (operating, standing but not operating, defunct) but where this falls isn't clear. The takeaway for me is we need to rewrite our definitions to make them clearer! Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 00:44, 10 February 2024 (UTC)
- I'd argue that if a coaster is closed with the clear intention of demolition or relocation, that defunct is an accurate description.
- Of course, if the coaster is relocated, the status can be changed. CoasterDave (talk) 05:32, 11 February 2024 (UTC)
Looping Coasters
Hi @QDude24, when do you think the community should change the inverted coasters to suspended coasters as this discussion has recently been raised in the discussions section. What do you think about this? Icecubelord38 (talk) 11:27, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
Asking about iff Sega attractions are are just large arcade cabinets count as proper attractions for Coasterpedia
Hey @QDude24, messaging upon suggestion from @Lachlan.
I wanna ask if you personally think that Sega attractions that are just expanded arcade cabinets (eg, Virtua Formula[1]) or are just attractions with unique arcade games (eg, Bike-Athlon[2] (of-which the page still exists because it hasn't been deleted yet) or Power Sled[3]) apply for this website. Most of Coasterpedia's admins don't think they apply, but I wanna ask if you would say the same because you might be more of an expert at this.
I've put links to the Sega Retro articles about the attractions I named if you want to know more about them. LTPHarry (talk) 23:35, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
Question about Walk-Through attractions
Hello, I wanna ask about this respective topic. Do meet and greet attractions count as Walk-Through attractions? In this case, I’m referring to those that have elaborate theming and interactive elements before you reach up to the character you’re meeting. LTPHarry (talk) 21:56, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Walk-through attraction on coasterpedia need to have a different entrance and exit and not be a queue to another attraction/experience. So no, these wouldn't count since they are basically queue's to meet and greets. QDude24 (talk) 22:00, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Alright then, thank you. I was debating this because I was looking at footage of Minnie's Style Studio at Tokyo Disneyland (which I classify myself as a meet-and-greet as it is exactly how you described). I'll remove the listing for a meet-and-greet at Tokyo DisneySea then because that's technically just elaborate queue theming. I know the Mickey's House attractions lead to a meet-and-greet with Mickey Mouse but Mickey isn't always at the Movie Barn section of his house from videos I've seen. LTPHarry (talk) 22:09, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Makes sense- thanks for clarifying! Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 22:33, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- Would you consider the Sea Life aquarium at Chessington a walk-through ride? Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 22:33, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- To me, I just count it as an public aquarium as Sea Life is a national chain. We wouldn’t see putting the other stand alone offerings unless they had rides, of which one of them did. LTPHarry (talk) 22:36, 6 October 2024 (UTC)
- No, thats an animal exhibit, which we don't count. Room on the Broom does count though. QDude24 (talk) 06:53, 7 October 2024 (UTC)

Wrath of Rakshasa Logo Alignment Change
Greetings, QDude24!
I saw that you changed the alignment of the logo to the left of the article. As most of the articles on Coasterpedia I've read have the center alignment, I was wondering why you did that. If it simply looked better to you, I totally understand. I would've changed it, but I decided to ask you to not only avoid an edit war, but to also understand your motives.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully respond. Have a Happy Holiday. SFGAM-Enthusiast (talk) 07:56, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @SFGAM-Enthusiast. I have been slowly changing all logo's to the left as seen on Raptor since it just looks better on pc. The middle looks on pc imo. And happy holidays to you too! QDude24 (talk) 14:21, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- As a PC user, I definitely agree after a second glance. Operation LAC (Logo Alignment Change) is GO! SFGAM-Enthusiast (talk) 04:40, 23 December 2024 (UTC)
