Welcome, and some advice

Hello, welcome to Coasterpedia. I saw that Jason, another admin here, reverted your changes to the Top Spin (HUSS product) article. Hopefully I can clear some things up to help you get started.

The most important thing is that we don't accept anything copied from Wikipedia. That article, Top Spin (HUSS product), is about the HUSS-built rides only (The HUSS Top Spin "product") and so the table added was not suitable as it contained rides from other manufacturers. Unlike Wikipedia, which only has one Top Spin article, we also have a seperate article, Top Spin, dedicated to the ride type. It lists all the different products that fall under the Top Spin ride type.

My reccommendation going foward is to start a new table from scratch on the Top Spin (HUSS product) page in a similar fashion to that on the Waikiki Wave page. It doesn't have to be complete to start with.

Please let us know if you're having any problems and we'll do our best to help! Thank you Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 12:17, 11 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello. Thank you!
Is it possible to use the table from Wikipedia, but edit it, leave only the Top Spin HUSS Product?
I also have questions about editing tables.
How to add/remove rows in a table?
There is a top spin
https://www.hussrides.com/en/classic-rides-0 and
Top spin suspended https://www.hussrides.com/en/classic-rides/top-spin-suspended
Do I need to create separate articles or put these attractions in one article? Am9619175544 (talk) 18:14, 21 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
You can always start with the table from Wikipedia, but it would take a lot of work to make it match our style guidelines. I'd also reccommend against copying data from Wikipedia as their dates may be incorrect. If the ride already has an article on Coasterpedia, copy the data from that article, otherwise I'd recommend finding other sources.
There is a bug in the current skin that hides the buttons for adding and removing rows in the visual editor. I will try fix that as quickly as I can.
I think we could cover all the HUSS Top Spin variants (eg the Suspended) in one article, but of course if that list became too unweidly, the article can be split. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 16:36, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hello. Thank you.
I have started changing the links to Coasterpedia. I will also check the information. Am9619175544 (talk) 18:55, 22 February 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Hello, in case you weren't aware, the Top Spin (HUSS product) page was already created by Jason. Feel free to suggest any changes! Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 23:14, 4 April 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Wild Train (Park Topolya)

Hello, according to RCDB the coaster at Park Topolya is called "American Hills", are you able to confirm if this English name is correct? Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 14:44, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello,If you translate from the Russian name that is written in the park then it is. Am80567126 (talk) 14:51, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Okay perfect, thanks for that. I think it makes sense to go with that as its more unique than Wild Train, which is the product name. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 14:54, 30 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Mars (Mayakovsky Park)

Hello, thanks for all your help with these Russian articles! I have a question about Mars (Mayakovsky Park). You note that it opened in 2006, however, looking at Google Earth it only appears in 2022. Do you know whereabout in the park it was previously? Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 14:07, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Hello, thank you. This ride was moved in the park. It was by coordinates 56.815404° latitude 60.637108° longitude.I don,t know how write about moving in the park.I think , template past-locations doesn't fit. Am80567126 (talk) 16:10, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks for this! Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 19:40, 8 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Crimea

Hello, I know this is a controversial one but as the Roller Coaster DataBase recognises Crimea as part of Ukraine, I will change the articles you created to reflect this. This matches the existing articles for Dreamwood. When in doubt we have followed the RCDB's country system to avoid political debates. I don't want to take a side politically, this is just a consistent way for us to follow. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 21:17, 8 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Well, so be it Am80567126 (talk) 15:42, 9 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Superloopen

Hi, I am trying to put some research in the old Superloopen from Furuvik, and rcdb states that it was exported to Russia. Do you happen to know anything about its current whereabouts?

Thanks! But I did figure out myself that it was also the same ride as this one; https://rcdb.com/9784.htm
The lightfixture on top of the lift is present at furuvik, but not at any other installation, meaning these have to be the same rides. QDude24 (talk) 11:27, 10 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
So It seems like it used to be at Omsk first, then relocated to Metro Park later, judging by the fact that its not on google maps. Probably in Omsk around 2001-2002 then 2003 at metro QDude24 (talk) 11:29, 10 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Creating tables

Hello, I wondered if I can help you with making the tables on product pages. Are you using the source code editor or the visual editor?

The {{fl}} template stands for "former location", it is meant to surround the old locations for a ride and it will make the text smaller and on a new line. If you are confident with the source code editor I'd reccommend taking a look at how it's done on the big table on Tivoli (product).

Finally I wanted to suggest you join our Discord channel if you haven't already. It's totally optional but there is a lot of conversation that happens on there!

Thanks Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 20:10, 10 September 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
