Based on the film?

I don't think this ride is based on the film. At the time, the park was owned by Paramount, who as far as I can tell have no involvement in the film, which was released in 1997. Plus I can't find any source for this, only other mention is on Wikipedia, and that has since been removed.Lachlan (Talk | contribs) (an admin) 03:53, 5 January 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Ultimate closing date

An editor added the closing date of May 6th, 2018, maybe based on this Theme Park Review post: https://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=54210&p=1863779. If anyone has more info on the closing date, add it, in the meantime I'll just keep it as mid-2018.Lachlan (Talk | contribs) (an admin) 11:12, 27 May 2019 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Source on queue line reconfiguration

I don't want to link to it in the main article, but the queue line was indeed reconfigured in 2014 and there's information on it within the Kings Dominion Theme Park Review thread page 1004. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) (an admin) 10:34, 30 March 2020 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Will Kings Dominion replace Volcano with a Vekoma SLC?

I've barely seen anyone think about this besides the exception of one user on a different site. But I'm sure most of you know that Kings Dominion closed Volcano in 2018. I never got to ride it, but I hear it was awesome. And Kings Dominion is probably in need of a new inverted coaster. They could get a B&M Invert, but Busch Gardens Williamsburg already beat them to it with Alpengeist. And I'm sure some of you know that Arkham Asylum - Shock Therapy recently got removed from Warner Bros. Movie World in Australia. What if Kings Dominion buys Arkham Asylum - Shock Therapy and places it in the former spot of Volcano and probably names it Thunderhawk or something? I don't think that'd be a good idea, but I think it'd be one of their only other options besides copying Busch Gardens Williamsburg. This is just a theory, though. Nothing is official. I think that is highly unlikely because if you look at the Facebook source on Arkham Asylum - Shock Therapy it appears the coaster was cut up, not dismantled carefully. I doubt it will be operating again. --Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 18:07, 20 August 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]
