UFO was a product from HUSS Park Attractions. It is a development on the generic Round-Up and Enterprise ride types and was introduced in 1978.[1]
The ride holds 48 people in twelve four-person gondolas positioned at the perimeter of a disk 20 metre in diameter. Within each gondola, riders stand facing inward. Bars prevent riders falling out, however centrifugal "force" pins riders against the wall of the ride anyway as it spins. The ride beings as the disk starts to spin. Once it has reached its maximum speed, an arm lifts and tilts the disk. At its highest point, the disk is at an almost 90-degree angle relative to the ground - significantly steeper than other Round-Up rides.
