In December 2023, Universal Parks & Resorts announced that it had acquired land near Bedford in England, UK. It stated that it was in the early stages of evaluating the feasibility of a theme park and hotel at the site and that it could be "many months" before a decision was taken on whether to proceed.[1][2] A name has not yet been announced for the proposed park.
