Oruga
Hello! By any chance do you know what name Oruga (Six Flags Mexico) originally operated under when it opened at AstroWorld in 1968? Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 22:15, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hi Lachlan, thanks for your message. Unfortunately I do not know what it's original name was. MK700 Geek (talk) 23:18, 13 July 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, no probs Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 10:35, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
Ultimate Rollercoaster
Hello, just curious, is Ultimate Rollercoaster still working for you? I haven't been able to access it for a while now. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 16:32, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Yea @Lachlan, it still works for me. MK700 Geek (talk) 17:07, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- Hmmm, that's weird. Maybe they've blocked European visitors 🤔 Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 21:49, 5 September 2024 (UTC)
- I am from Europe though, that is strange. Could be your browser? MK700 Geek (talk) 00:44, 6 September 2024 (UTC)

Starfish Ride
Trabant is the correct ride 'type' for this ride, Wipeout is just the specific product Jason foulkes (talk) 13:40, 3 December 2024 (UTC)
Article links
Hello, @MK700 Geek! Regarding links in articles the wiki convention tends to be to only link once per major section (per Wikipedia manual of style section MOS:REPEATLINK). It just makes the links a bit easier to spot and the text easier to read as less of it is blue. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 22:42, 7 January 2025 (UTC)
Categories
I think the operator/owner categories may be a bit of a rabbit hole - there must be thousands of different showmen/companies listed on this wiki many of which may only have one ride. If we were to do this, it could be automated using the owner parameter. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 23:05, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
- Oh I see. I decided to put some notable ones (Bembom Rides) together so they could be more accessible in one place. MK700 Geek (talk) 23:18, 25 February 2025 (UTC)
Ride relocations
Hello, for cases where a ride is relocated after it opened I think it would make sense to have some sort of indicator of what year that was. For example with Lobster. Maybe a note like (2017 relocation)
or similar? I don't think it should be a problem as the Replaced/Replacement fields are not used for any of the Cargo database bits. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 07:53, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
- That sounds good. Thanks @Lachlan! MK700 Geek (talk) 09:10, 11 March 2025 (UTC)
Green redirects
Hello - I thought you may like this bit of code that will colour redirect links in green, so you can easily see and fix them. Copy User:Lachlan/common.css into User:MK700 Geek/common.css if you are interested. Redirects in articles are fine, but navboxes should link directly to the correct article. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 20:47, 15 March 2025 (UTC)
Thomson family/Blackpool
It may be sensible to have a separate article for the business that operates Blackpool Pleasure Beach and used to operate the other parks like Magic Harbor. Doesn't have to be super detailed, just with sourced info on when they acquired and sold each park. What do you think? Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 15:17, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, that is a good idea. MK700 Geek (talk) 15:18, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
Hello - just to let you know the navboxes can now be automatically generated so there is no need to create these manually any more. Just add the {{Navplate park}}
template where you would usually add the navboxes. Thanks! Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 14:32, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks! Very handy! MK700 Geek (talk) 14:34, 5 April 2025 (UTC)
- Additionally, we will run a script to remove the duplicate navboxes. So no need for any manual editing. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 15:35, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- All good! MK700 Geek (talk) 16:14, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

Cancelled rides
I think it worked well already having the cancelled rides as part of the table on the park pages. What was your motivation behind the change? Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 07:35, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- I was just scrolling though existing articles like America and Darien Lake and saw that, just clicked to bring the rest of them like that. I could revert them back originally. MK700 Geek (talk) 10:59, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- Sorry I appreciate it must be annoying that things are inconsistent. Let's include them in the tables, and we can update other articles to have the same. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 21:18, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- Your fine, its alright. That would be grand! MK700 Geek (talk) 21:41, 17 April 2025 (UTC)
- I liked the original way better anyway MK700 Geek (talk) 22:20, 17 April 2025 (UTC)

Dreamland Margate
Dreamland Margate did not open under the Bembom name/regime until the 1982 season, so please can you revert the changes to rides at the park during the 1981 season? That is why there was a mass exodus of rides leaving at the end of 1981 / coming in for 1982Jason foulkes (talk) 07:26, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Jason foulkes Sure, but RCDB had listed the park as Bembom Brothers Theme Park from 1981 to 1989. MK700 Geek (talk) 11:21, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
- I think RCDB may be wrong on this one - I added a couple newspapers to Dreamland Margate that confirms the park changed hands in May 1981 but wasn't rebranded until 1982 Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 12:59, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
- Concessionaires remained until November 1981, Bemboms didn't rebrand the park or install their own equipment until 1982 season Jason foulkes (talk) 13:28, 18 April 2025 (UTC)
- Yeah, both of you are correct. Thanks MK700 Geek (talk) 13:42, 18 April 2025 (UTC)

Coasterfriends.de
For these photos it may be best just to link to the forum page, rather than to each individual image directly. That way, people can find more info easily, and we only need one link instead of several. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 18:04, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- Oh, I thought it would be interesting to include the photos as part of an external section. Thought it would be unique. MK700 Geek (talk) 18:07, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- There could be a chance as well that the forum site could be taken down in the future meaning that the photos could be lost. MK700 Geek (talk) 18:10, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
- It's good to have links for sure, but you would need to archive them in the Web Archive for them to stay if the site goes down. Though linking to them from here does help as it makes it more likely the web archive will find it Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 21:29, 20 April 2025 (UTC)

Six Flags Houston and Theme Park Timelines
The Theme Park Timelines entry for Six Flags AstroWorld was taken from the Six Flags Houston site. Seems we are citing both sites in different places but for AstroWorld at least, we ought to cite the Six Flags Houston page as it is the original source of the timeline. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 20:59, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
- Okay, that is fair. Thanks @Lachlan MK700 Geek (talk) 22:56, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
- I will go in and replace them, if I remember 👍 Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 23:07, 11 May 2025 (UTC)
Links
If there's any links to redirects I can probably update those automatically using the LoopingStarBOT. Just let me know what redirects have a lot if links pointing to them and I can go through and update them. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 17:43, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
Dates
Hello, for the dates please use one style per article. So for a ride in the US, we would switch all the dates to American format. The Coasterpedia:Manual of Style can (hopefully) help you with this 👍 Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 09:41, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks 👍 MK700 Geek (talk) 12:20, 18 May 2025 (UTC)
Unknown coasters
Hello! for these ones, I think rather than call them Unknown, just use the generic name, eg Thrill Glider (Six Flags Magic Mountain)
or Family Boomerang (Six Flags Magic Mountain)
. It's a bit more descriptive than Unknown. You can slap a {{Placeholder title}} template at the top of the article to indicate that the title isn't the proper one. Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 13:41, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
- All good @Lachlan! MK700 Geek (talk) 13:42, 31 May 2025 (UTC)
Product categories
Hello @MK700 Geek for the product categories you can put in {{product category|type=ride|manufacturer=Vekoma}}
or similar - this is what I added to Category:Swing Around (Vekoma Product). Hope this helps! Lachlan (Talk | contribs) 20:16, 4 June 2025 (UTC)
