HELP

Waltzer is a Waltzer built by UK manufacturer H.P. Jackson currently located at Bayside Fun Park in Bridlington, England, UK. It has operated at the park since 2013, replacing the earlier Waltzer.

History

The ride premièred at Ocean Beach Fun Fair in Rhyl in March 1963 [1]. It was owned by the park’s owners Trusthouse Forte, and stayed at the park until the end of the 1974 season. The ride was replaced at the park by the brand new Waltzer from Maxwell. It is believed the ride was sold to Clacton Pier, who quickly sold on the ride that same year, having not operated it at all.

In 1975 the Waltzer opened at Barmouth Amusement Park in Wales. Four seasons of operation at the park followed, until the ride was again replaced by a brand new model, this time Waltzer from H.P. Jackson.

In March 1979 the ride opened at Rainbow Park under the ownership of Johnnie Cook and Henry Roper, although would later pass into the sole ownership of Johnnie Cook. It would spend many years at the park, until being replaced by Thunderbolt Waltzer for the 2002 season. The ride was exported to Holland and operated under showman Jan Cameron, until it was imported back in to the UK in 2013.
