Whizzer was a steel roller coaster previously located at Great America in Santa Clara, California, USA. It was manufactured by Schwarzkopf and operated from 1976 to 1988.
Design
Color scheme
Black track and green supports, had black track and white supports earlier.
Trains
4 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged inline in 6 rows, for a total of 24 riders per train.
Incident
On March 29, 1980, a 13-year-old rider was killed while boarding the train in the station and a second train collided with the stopped one. Eight other riders were also injured.[1]
On April 18, 1982, a train slipped backward 40 feet and collided with a train in the station, injuring 16 riders.[2]
