Electric spiral lift
From Coasterpedia, the Roller Coaster and Amusement Ride Wiki - 10,463 articles since August 2009
Electric spiral lift is a type of spiral shaped lift hill used on some Schwarzkopf roller coasters.
It was used on the Jet Star II, Jet Star III, City Jet / Jet 400 and Speed Racer / Extended Jumbo Jet models.
Technology[edit | edit source]
A power rail in the center of the track passes current to an electric motor in the car, powering it.[1] This is similar to a powered coaster, however following the lift the trains coast under their own momentum.
