HELP

Altair (previously known as Altair CCW-0204) is a steel roller coaster located at Cinecittà World in Rome, Lazio, Italy. It is one of the first 10-Inversion roller coasters built by Intamin to feature a redesigned track layout, lap bar-only trains, and a cable lift hill.

Backstory

"After more than four millennia, the ship Altair CCW-0204, back on planet Earth, humans had abandoned at the end of the 22nd century to colonize 13 planets of Alpha Centauri. Now the human race is going back to basics. After an interstellar voyage, the crew of the spaceship is a surprise: the Earth is a new world and lush, and is inhabited by a new race of sentient insects. Who are these beings? They come from outer space or have evolved independently? But above all, they are now aliens or are we?"

Design

Elements

The ride layout looks exactly like Colossus at Thorpe Park except for the cable lift and lack of a pre-drop. Also, some of the stats are slightly modified compared to Colossus'.

Trains

2 trains with 5 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 20 riders per train. Riders are held in by lap-bar restraints.
