Pre-Drop
(Redirected from Pre-drop)
A pre-drop or kicker is a feature generally found on older Bolliger & Mabillard roller coasters. After the lift hill, a pre-drop acts as a shelf for the front of the train when the back is still leaving the lift hill. This is used to reduce strain on the chain lift.
