Backlot Stunt Coaster (formerly known as The Italian Job: Stunt Track) is a steel launched roller coaster located at Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario, Canada.[1] Special effects are incorporated throughout the ride, such as sound effects built into the cars, a helicopter that attacks riders a with simulated machine gun sound, and pyrotechnic and water effects.
This is the first coaster in Canada to feature a launch.
History
In August 2004, it was announced that The Italian Job: Stunt Track would be coming to Kings Island and Canada's Wonderland.[2] The Canada's Wonderland location opened on 1 May 2005.
The ride was renamed Backlot Stunt Coaster in 2008.
