HELP |
Death Train is a steel launched roller coaster located at Marah Land in Muscat, Oman. It was formerly located at Mirabilandia in Emilia-Romagna, Italy.
History
Katapult arrived at Mirabilandia during the 2005 season. It was initially setup in a service area. After that, it was taken down and repainted with plans to be installed at the park. When the 2006 season came about, the park installed a Moser Energy Rush ride calling it "Katapult". Within just a couple of weeks the Energy Rush was removed and construction of the Schwarzkopf Katapult had started.
The ride left after the 2006 season. It subsequently operated at travelling carnivals in Oman before being setup at Marah Land in 2014.
On a visit during March 2016, the Death Train was not operating. It is not known how long it has been or will be closed for.[1]

Katapult features a circular loading area that is slightly banked. The train travels both forwards and backwards, gaining momentum, until it has fully launched into the vertical loop. After two circuits, the ride slows back down and stops in the station.
