Dreamcatcher (formerly known as Air Race) is a steel suspended roller coaster located at Bobbejaanland in Lichtaart, Antwerp, Flemish Region, Belgium.

The ride has a native American theme.

History

The roller coaster first opened in 1987 and was originally called Air Race. It was painted yellow with white supports and the trains, supplied by Arrow Dynamics, were shaped like planes.[1]

In late 2005, it was announced that Air Race would be renamed Dream Catcher for the 2006 season.[2] The theme was changed to an Indian theme and the colour scheme was changed to yellow track, blue vertical supports and orange horizontal supports. It also received new floorless trains from Vekoma.

In early 2018, it was announced that Dream Catcher would receive virtual reality headsets, with a Wild West theme. A new facade was added to the front of the station building.[3] The VR was removed in 2020 due to the coronavirus, and it wouldn't return.[4]
