Grand Canyon Rapids was a River Rapids built by Swiss manufacturer Intamin previously located at MGM Grand Adventures in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. California firm R&R Creative Amusement Designs produced conceptual designs for the ride, Lexington Scenic and Props built the sets, and the animatronics were manufactured by Garner Holt.[1]
History
Grand Canyon Rapids opened with MGM Grand Adventures in 1993. After the ride closed, its components were listed for sale online for $440,000 USD.[2]
The components were sold to Isla San Marcos Parque Temático were it was never installed. It was scrapped in 2021 along with Tsunami.[citation needed]
