The station

Huracan is a steel enclosed roller coaster located at Bellewaerde Park in Ypres, West Flanders, Flemish Region, Belgium.

Huracan is the Mayan god of wind, fire, and the storm.[1]

History

The attraction was announced in late September 2012. It uses the building previously occupied by Los Piratas, an enclosed boat ride which closed earlier that year. Huracan opened at the start of the 2013 season on 30 March 2013.[2]

Design

The ride begins with a slow enclosed section. It then climbs an outdoor booster wheel lift hill. The first drop is taken outdoors, while the rest of the ride is enclosed.

Trains

2 trains with 10 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in a single row, for a total of 20 riders per train.
