Little Deuce Coupe was a Calypso / Teacups hybrid built by Swiss manufacturer Intamin that was previously located at Opryland USA in Nashville, Tennessee, USA.[1]
History
Disc Jockey Ride opened with Opryland USA on May 27, 1972. It was located in the Do Wah Diddy Area, then known as the Music of Today Area.[2] It was later renamed to Little Deuce Coupe in the late 1970s and was enclosed in a dome-like structure.[3]
The ride was bought by Premier Parks as part of a 13 ride package deal of Opryland USA's attractions in November 1997 after the park's closure on December 31, 1997 for $7,034,000 and was later relocated to the site of Old Indiana Fun-n-Water Park in Thorntown, Indiana, USA. The ride sat in storage for several years and was assumedly ultimately scrapped by 2003 after Six Flags sold the land in July 2002.[4][5][6]
