Matterhorn Mine Co. (formerly Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster) is a steel kiddie roller coaster formerly located at Edaville Family Theme Park. It originally opened as part of a new area with a Thomas the Tank Engine theme, but after the park's contract with Mattel expired, the area was entirely re-themed as the Alpine Village.
It opened with the Thomas Land area on August 15, 2015.[1] After Edaville closed as an amusement park in 2024, the coaster was one of the few listed rides that was not put up for sale in the auction.[2] In May 2025, it was reported that the coaster was being dismantled during the auction and had been sold separately to a private owner.[3]
Design
Troublesome Trucks is themed around the Troublesome Trucks from the Thomas & Friends cartoon series. It was one of three Thomas & Friends themed coasters, the other two being Troublesome Trucks Runaway Coaster at Drayton Manor and Rock 'N Roll Duncan at Fuji-Q Highland.
Currently, the cars are themed after mine carts.
Trains
Single train with 6 cars. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in a single row, for a total of 12 riders per train.
