Edaville Family Theme Park is a railroad and former amusement park in Carver, Massachusetts, USA. It was home to a Thomas & Friends themed area named Thomas Land, now named Alpine Village.
History
For the 2014 season, the park opened up the Dinoland themed area.[1]
Groundbreaking on the Thomas area began on August 14, 2014, with a planned opening date set for the summer of 2015.[2] Thomas Land opened after a year of construction on August 15, 2015.[3]
After a period of closure, the park reopened for the 2022 Christmas Season. For the 2023 season, it was announced that Thomas Land would not reopen, with the park's owner deeming the area and concept as having "not worked".[4] This followed a lawsuit that the park filed against Mattel for mis-promoting the area and focusing more attention on Kennywood's Thomas Town.[5] For Christmas 2023, the area was rebranded as Alpine Village.[6]
In February 2025, a group of investors purchased the site, later purchasing King Richard's Faire and announcing that the event would move to Edaville.[7] In March 2025, it was announced that a majority of the rides at the park would be auctioned at the end of April[8] with the deadline to remove them being May 15.[9] The auction took place as planed on April 29.[10]
