History
The park was opened as the Asbury Park Carouselle and Riding School by Ernest S. Schnitzler in June 1888. It was purchased by Augustus M. Williams in 1920, and again by Edward Lange in 1938. Edward's son, George Lange, took over ownership in 1983 and sold the park in 1986.[1]
The park closed in 1988 and its building was demolished in 2004, despite efforts to save it.
