HELP

SkyScreamer is a 242 foot Star Flyer attraction manufactured by Funtime and built by Ride Entertainment at Six Flags Darien Lake amusement park in Corfu, New York, USA. The ride was constructed for the opening of the 2019 season, a season that marked the return of Six Flags to the park.[1] It features a synchronized lighting system throughout. The ride is arranged by 16 rows of swing chairs that seat 2 people each for a total capacity of 32 riders and spins riders in a 98 foot circle around the center support structure. The ride holds the record as the tallest ride in New York State as of May 2019.

Safety Features

Each seat is deep wall constructed and fit with dual seat belts that include a between the leg harness which is only able to be unlocked by the ride operator or emergency personnel. [2] [3] The ride is driven by a single motor to raise and lower the "star" (portion of the ride that chairs are attached to and spin from), and multiple motors that rotate the star. In case of a power failure, the star may be lowered via a manual pump located at the base of the attraction. The attraction's ride system is an Allen-Bradley PLC system.
