Steel Eel is a Morgan roller coaster located at SeaWorld San Antonio in San Antonio, Texas, USA. It opened on March 6, 1999.[1]

Design

Elements

Unlike other Morgan hyper coasters, Steel Eel uses tubular supports (as opposed to a lattice structure) throughout the whole ride. Steel Eel opened with yellow track and turquoise supports. It was repainted in 2019 by Baynum Solutions and the color of the supports was changed to purple.[2]

Trains

2 trains with 6 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 3 rows, for a total of 36 riders per train.
