Summit Plummet is a body speed water slide built by Canadian manufacturer ProSlide located at Disney's Blizzard Beach in Orlando, Florida, USA.[1][2]
History
Summit Plummet opened with Disney's Blizzard Beach on April 1, 1995, as the world's tallest water slide, it held this record until 1997, when it was surpassed by Insano.[3]
In late 2019, most, if not all of the slide was replaced with new sections by ProSlide.[4][5] It was announced at ProSlide's booth at IAAPA 2019, but was quickly retracted.[6]
Design
It is a FreeFALL by ProSlide.[1]
The slide is designed to look like a ski jump, giving the illusion that riders will fly off it. However, there's a tunnel where the slide continues downward.
Slush Gusher shares a queue line with Summit Plummet, acting as a tamer alternative.
