HELP

Expedition Everest is a steel mine train roller coaster located at Disney's Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA. The ride takes place on a 200 foot tall artificial mountain and was built by Vekoma. The Guinness Book of World Records listed Expedition Everest as the world's most expensive roller coaster at $100 million.[1]

History

Expedition Everest officially opened on April 7, 2006.[2]

Design

Elements

Expedition Everest begins with a lift hill that travels up the snowy mountain. After some drops and curves, the ride travels up the lift hill and stops there momentarily. At this time, the transfer track below switches, and the trains then falls backwards through a new section of track. Next, the ride is held up at another transfer track, where it falls forwards into the rest of the ride.

Trains

6 trains with 6 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 3 rows, except for the front car which has 2, for a total of 34 riders per train.
