Transworld was a small amusement park located within the Liverpool Festival Gardens site in Liverpool, Merseyside, England, UK.
History
The park was opened in May 1986 by Transworld Leisure on land previously used by the International Garden Festival, which took place in 1984.
The park closed on 14 September, two weeks earlier than planned, with the operators blaming poor weather over the summer. It had made a loss of £1.9 million.[1] However, it was also announced that the park would reopen in April the following year.[2] Despite this, in October, Transworld went bankrupt, leaving behind large debts.[1]
