On August 28, 1999, both a mother and her daughter were killed and two other people were injured when a car climbing the lift hill fell backwards, hitting another car in the station. The two individuals who were killed were sat in the station.[1] The roller coaster was closed immediately and subsequently removed from the pier.

A 45-year-old woman was thrown from the roller coaster, falling 15 feet to the ground, on July 29, 2006. She was subsequently taken to hospital in a stable condition.[2]
