Twisted Twins (originally known as Twisted Sisters) was a twin wooden hybrid roller coaster located at Kentucky Kingdom in Louisville, Kentucky, USA. It was built by Custom Coasters International, Inc. and was one of two twin roller coasters that the company built, with the other being Stampida at PortAventura Park. On July 20, 2015, Kentucky Kingdom announced Storm Chaser.[1] It is a hybrid conversion of the ride by Rocky Mountain Construction. However, this conversion only uses one side of Twisted Twins. Storm Chaser opened on April 30, 2016.[2]
Design
Twisted Twins was a combination of two separate wooden roller coasters; one called Stella and one called Lola; that were mirror images. The Lola side used for Storm Chaser, while the Stella side was completely demolished.
Trains
7 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 28 riders per train. The trains were built by Gerstlauer.[3]
