Wildcat is a steel roller coaster built by Schwarzkopf. It operated from 1974 to 2004 at Fantasy Island in Grand Island, New York, USA. It was dismantled in December 2004 and reportedly sold to a park or showman in Mosco, Russia, however, according to the Roller Coaster DataBase it was in fact traded in with the purchase of the Crazy Mouse and subsequently scrapped.
History
The coaster opened in 1974 at the start of a 5-year expansion plan, transforming the kiddie-orientated park into a fully-fledged amusement park. [2]
Design
Yellow track and purple supports.
Trains
Single cars. Riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 4 riders per car.
