Montezuma's Revenge is a Top Spin built by German manufacturer HUSS that was previously located at Avonturenpark Hellendoorn in Hellendoorn, Overijssel, Netherlands. The ride currently in storage at Niagara Amusement Park and Splash World in Grand Island, New York, USA.
History
The ride originally opened in 1998. The ride closed after the 2020 season, with its high maintenance being given as the reason for its closure. It was sold to a undisclosed buyer, and would stand standing but not operating during the 2021 season until the buyer picks it up.[1] The ride was fully removed at the start of the 2021 season, but the theming remained as the park was still looking for a replacement.[2]
The ride was purchased by US operator IB Parks & Entertainment and was sent to Niagara Amusement Park and Splash World where it remains in storage since 2022. The park was previously known as Martin's Fantasy Island and lost many of it's attractions in 2020 when it's previous owners, Apex Parks Group closed the park by selling off it's original rides. It is currently unknown when this ride will be set up.
