Aero Dips was a wooden roller coaster previously located at Euclid Beach Park in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. The ride originally opened as New Velvet Coaster and was later named New Velvet Ride and then Velvet Coaster.[1]

History

Aero Dips opened as New Velvet Coaster in 1909.

In 1930, the structure was damaged by a fire that started in a storage building located under the ride. The damage was contained and only $400 worth of repairs were required.[2]

Design

Aero Dips was approximately 375 feet by 100 feet.[3]

Incident

In July 1943, a fully-loaded train sped through the station and derailed, causing numerous injuries.[4]
