On August 25, 1999, the lift cable snapped causing the train to enter the cobra roll at a lower speed than usual and get stuck in the middle of the element. It took almost four hours to evacuate the train. Following the incident, a platform was erected to ease evacuation should the train become stuck in the cobra roll again.
