Fēnix is a steel winged roller coaster located at Attractiepark Toverland in Sevenum, Limburg, Netherlands. It was manufactured by Bolliger & Mabillard and opened in 2018.

History

Fēnix was announced by Attractiepark Toverland in January 2017, with the name and theme being announced on 26 September 2017.[1]

On 18 January 2018, it was announced that the ride would be opening on 7 July 2018 alongside the Avalon and Port Laguna themed areas.

On 4 June 2018, the ride had its first test run.[2]

As expected, the ride opened on 7 July 2018.[3]

Design

Elements

Fēnix's layout was revealed by Attractiepark Toverland in May 2017.

Color scheme

The ride has light blue track and brown supports.

Trains

2 trains with 6 cars per train. In each car, riders are arranged 4 across in a single row, for a total of 24 riders per train.

Theme

Fēnix is themed to the King Arthur/Merlin legend and is part of a new themed area opened in 2018 behind the Magische Vallei area. The area also contains a Mack Rides boat ride named Merlin's Quest.
