History
In 1984, Falling Star opened at Boblo Island in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada.[1]
Following the closure of Boblo Island on September 30, 1993, the attraction was sold to Wild Waves & Enchanted Village at auction in Federal Way, Washington, USA, where it reopened the following year.[2][3][4]
In 2011, the gearbox malfunctioned while the ride was operating, sending debris flying, some of which hit riders. The ride was closed immediately while representatives for Chance Rides came out to inspect it.[5] It isn't thought to have ever reopened.
