Monster is a steel roller coaster located at Adventureland in Altoona, Iowa, USA. It replaced the former River Rapids Log Flume and opened on June 4, 2016 as the first Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster in America.

History
The ride was announced on July 8, 2015.[1]
Excavation work for placing the concrete footers began in late October 2015.[2] Vertical construction then began in early 2016.[3] The ride was then completed by April.[4]
Monster officially opened on June 4, 2016.[5] Sky Ride originally passed over and under the coaster, until it was removed after the 2022 season.
Design
The ride has a beyond-vertical drop at an angle of 101 degrees followed by five inversions.
Trains
3 trains with 2 cars per train. Riders are arranged 4 across in a single row for a total of 8 riders per train.
