Scream is a set of three drop towers located at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio, Texas, USA. It opened in 1999, alongside Poltergeist and 13 other rides.

History

On October 8, 1998, Six Flags Fiesta Texas announced that they would be adding Poltergeist, Boomerang, Scream and twelve other attractions. This would be a part of the park's $30 million expansion.[2]

Scream opened on March 13, 1999 as a double tower. Nobody has been currently able to gain much information of it back then, but it is possible that one tower was a Space Shot and the other was a Turbo Drop. On May 28, 1999, the third tower opened. This was one of the first "Combo Tower" models from S&S, combining the thrills of both Space Shot & Turbo Drop in one ride. The height of the tower is 205 feet tall.

In 2017, from July 15 to August 21, these towers had a new feature called Drop of Doom VR, one of the very few virtual reality drop towers in America. Officials believed that one of the three towers were on VR performing Turbo Drop, another on VR performing Combo Tower, and the third one was left unchanged.[3]
