History
Antique Car Ride opened in 1958 at Knott's Berry Farm as Merry Go Round Auto Ride. In the 1960s, the ride was renamed Antique Auto Ride before being renamed again in 1976 into Tijuana Taxi, most likely because of the Tijuana Taxi song by Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass. Tijuana Taxi operated until 1986 before relocating to Castle Park.[1]
