History

Older colour scheme at Knott's Berry Farm

Originally located at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, USA under the name Boomerang, the ride opened on April 6, 1990 and is a Boomerang model from Vekoma. The ride replaced the former Corkscrew.

On 17 March 2017, Knott's Berry Farm announced that Boomerang would close on 23 April 2017 at the end of the park's Boysenberry Festival.[1] The process of dismantling the ride began almost immediately after it closed. It was then shipped to the Netherlands where it was refurbished before being relocated to Indonesia.

On 16 August 2017, Knott's Berry Farm announced that they would be replacing Boomerang with HangTime, a Gerstlauer Infinity Coaster, in 2018.[2]

The roller coaster was sent to Trans Studio Cibubur. Testing occurred in November 2020.[3] The ride opened on 14 May 2021.

Trains

Single train with 7 cars. In each car, riders are arranged 2 across in 2 rows, for a total of 28 riders per train. The train was built by Arrow Dynamics and riders were restrained by an over-the-shoulder harness.

Before opening at Trans Studio Cibubur, the coaster will receive a new train.
