Wacky Soap Box Racers was a steel quad steeplechase style roller coaster located at Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park, California, USA. It was one of the two Arrow Steeplechase coasters in existence, the other of which still operates at Blackpool Pleasure Beach in the UK.


The ride opened in 1976 as Motor Cycle Chase. It was renamed Wacky Soap Box Racers in 1980.

Wacky Soap Box Racers closed in 1996. It was replaced by the short-lived Windjammer Surf Racers, which in turn was replaced by Xcelerator.



Single car trains. Riders are arranged inline in 2 rows, for a total of 2 riders per car.
