Kilimanjaro Jets was a Telecombat Jets ride at West Midland Safari Park located in Bewdley, Worcestershire, England, UK. It was removed at the end of the 2003 season and replaced by Jumbo Parade. It opened at the park in 1987, and was originally simply referred to as "Adult Jets" [1]. During the 1990s, it received a re-theme to "Kilimanjaro Jets", and the centrepiece of the ride was changed from a satellite to a volcano.[2]
History
The ride was originally built by Italian manufacturer Barbieri for Barry Island Pleasure Park in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales, UK. It opened in 1976 and remained at the park until the end of the 1986, when it was sold to West Midland Safari Park.
