Launch Coaster is a launched roller coaster product offered by Mack Rides. The Launch Coaster uses LSM technology to launch riders one or more times. The first installation was blue fire Megacoaster which opened at Europa Park in 2009. Several clones of Blue Fire have since opened, as well as custom installations.
Design
Trains
The trains use lap-bar restraints.
The trains can be customised for each installation. Blue Fire has on-board speakers and heart rate monitors fitted to the grab-bars.
Installations
There have been seventeen Launch Coaster installations, with one currently under construction.
Similar rides
Intamin's LSM Launch Coaster is similar to Mack's Launch Coaster. Mack themselves also produce the Xtreme Spinning Coaster, which uses the same technology and track as the Launc coaster, but these feature trains with spinning cars.
