Manufacturer
 Eyerly Aircraft Company, USA
Type Polyp
Capacity 48 per cycle

Monster is a Polyp product previously manufactured by defunct company Eyerly Aircraft Company. It consists of a main metal frame that spins on an axis with six arms radiating from its center. Each arm raises and lowers as it rotates, and the four cars at the end of each arm rotate about an axis on the arm. Each individual car also rotates on its own axis, resulting in three axes of rotation in addition to the vertical motion of the arms raising and lowering.

The ride is similar to the Spider product, but with additional cars.

History

The ride was developed over several years and the prototype debuted at the World's Fair in Seattle in 1962. According to Eyerly, it invested $250,000 in the development of the ride. The cars on the prototype were replaced with new fibreglass versions and it reopened ni 1963 at Palisades Amusement Park.[1]
